It was 1966 when the Beatles last visited the Philippines. Most of us were not yet born that time when the global phenomenon ruled the music charts everywhere.
After almost 50 years, the Department of Tourism would like us to invite one of the Beatles back in the country, Ringo Starr. This is after the iconic band's guitarist tweeted: "Let's send each other postcards from Paradise."
Getting inspiration from the said tweet, DOT is encouraging us to show Ringo and the world that the Philippines really is a paradise by sharing beautiful photos of the country on Twitter. Since we are the social media capital of the world, we can unite to catch the world's attention and encourage them to visit our country. Hopefully, we can also encourage Ringo Starr to come back one of these days.
